Here’s a concoction I often refer to as “Hippy Speed”. In the smoothie I use a water base, Cacao powder, Cacao beans, Cacao Butter, Coconut Oil, Goji Berries, Acai Cheery frozen packs, frozen bananas, Crystal Energy, Yakon Syrup, Celtic Sea Salt, and maybe something I’m forgetting. Learned alot about smoothies from David Wolfe and Len Foley. Great guys!

CSPI scared movie theaters into giving up coconut oil — a perfectly natural, health-promoting fat.

dude you kick ass, love this video, keep it up bro.
Awesome! Gotta try that.
What a stoner.
Cacao powder is awesome! I love making my own version of “Hippie Speed” with golden berries and goji berry powder – gives it a real tang! My favorite place to get that stuff is “love street living foods” online. Thanks for a great video!
I apologise.
Hey bro, I just surfed 3 1/2 hours today. Trust me, I’m no slouch. And, just got a new Rebounder for my gym yesterday.
Nice diet now try and do some exercise to to get the full benefits. What I see in life some people workout hard and their diets are average other like yourself have brillant diets but dont workout then there are some that do both. Do both mate

@gtw1983 same thing with me heres my advice. work out and take a little more care of yourself than the next man. its hard trust me, i now eat things that id throw up if i touched as a kid. go for a walk once in a while. and no matter what anybody says, you can if you work for it. i eat the extra peice of cake and walk just that much more. you know?
I love coconut oil for popcorn, all i ever used. i love coconut of everything though lol. that and almonds.
Monosaturates are not bad for your heart. Too much polyunsaturated oil may be, especially if it comes from corn oil, soybean oil, etc. The doctors I trust recommend taking some omega 3 supplements.
And good for you too.
After this I had to try putting coconut oil on some popcorn. It’s delicious.
I’m also concerned about certain things.
Heart attacks run in my family so may I ask a piece of advice.
Does this mean that Mono fats are bad for your heart?I eat a fair amount of peanuts and peanut butter because I heard that they are fairly heart healthy.
If they are not what would you reccomend as an alternative. Also is the Omega 3′s I take with Vitamin E not really doing that much good?
Nah, olive oil has too low temperature treshhold. I cook with normal butter, olive oil I save for seasoning.
Peanut Oil too.
From that list, I’d choose olive oil. But don’t forget about coconut oil. Great for frying, and good for you.
Can you tell me which out of these is best to cook with and eat?
Olive oil
safflower oil
flaxseed oil
pumpkinseed oil
sunflowerseed oil
sesameseed oil
thanks for the info. i just looked it up. very helpful.
The jury’s out on that one. Probably not actually bad for you, but it’s pushing genuinely beneficial fats — like coconut oil — out of the food supply. I can’t post links here, but search on canola and “weston price” and “enig” and you’ll find a good article on canola oil, detailing the research.
So I’m confused. So canola oil isn’t healthy???
Rat studies provide indications for further research, but cannot be extrapolated wholly to humans. My biggest complaint about canola oil is that it’s displacing the oils that are actually beneficial, such as coconut oil.
In general its somehow irritating to see that when for example the “China Study” is criticised by low carbers, it is mainly because it relies on Animal Studies and an Observiational Study which are both poor ways to determine causal effects of foods on health. I’m not in any way supporting the message of the China study or the book itself but one has to admit that she is trying to make her point with exactly the same means (animal studies and an observation). Sry, but you simply cannot do that.
Sry but her critics about canola oil / rapeseed oil is just not very scientific.
To imediately promote it as heart healthy might not be a good idea, correct. But to say its definitely not heart healthy BECAUSE when you feed it to rats they develop heart lesion and so on and died is just as stupid. Her remark that in the regions where coconut oil is used the rates of heart desease are low is also of little scientific value.
Otherwise the video is outstanding as always
Always appreciate support for the film.
Thank you for your work!!!! Excellent video! Off to buy a copy of Fat Head!
Thank you for making the movie and getting this information out there. It’s heartening to see a film where common sense and reasoned thinking trump scare tactics and propaganda.
Gracias.
Thanks for supporting the film.
brilliant
Just got my copy of Fat Head the other day. Love it. Great work.
